Help me make a decision >_>
I don't know whether to make a PvE mesmer and forgo a free slot.
Pros: I get to work on a new character I get to spoil her with armor I get another character to store my crap on Cons: I have no free slot I won't be able to help people in Presearing anymore Can't do HA or GvG as well Costs a lot of cash Takes a lot of time So far the cons outweigh the pros, but I sort of... detest >_> the people in Presearing and I hate HA and GvG... so that's 3 pros and 3 cons. What do you people suggest? I need a little help here. |

Mesmers are a lot of fun to play with, be it PvP or PvE. You already said that you detest PvP (understandably so), so go ahead and make a PvE Mesmer. You can always delete him/her when you don't like it and then have your free slot again. Having said that you should also be a competent player or else you will get frustrated with the delicacy involved with playing a Mesmer.
They do get shunned by a lot of ppl out there so you will find yourself henching a lot of missions. But in my opinion the way to go for everyone playing GW is to have one char of each of the core professions. |

@Locutas
I don't have a credit card. I *could* bug my dad but I've already begged him to buy me Oblivion, and I don't want to look greedy or anything... and I've got all 3 chapters. @Solveig Ikram I love to hench missions :P and yes I have played a Mesmer before, but I got bored with her and deleted her... I think to make an assassin? I don't remember. I dont want to waste a ton of time and cash like that again. It already happened to my old mesmer and my Paragon. |

If you've played a Mesmer before and got bored with it, why make another one?
Personally, I'm having a blast playing mine. I use a Domination based build which is great fun for turning an enemy's attacks against him. |

i know how you feel about being greedy, i saved some bucks and gave dad so he released his card, im sure in pro of havin more char slots since anet rerward the old ones, and if you got a presearing char for so long it would hurt my feelings on deleting her, but what do i know i bought 9 slots already lol.

Way to go, Twonaiver.
@Taurucis - Whether you get an allowance or, like my children, you just get paid for extra effort jobs, save it up and hand your father the $10 and ask him to use his card for the purchase. He'll feel that it is very mature of you to do it that way instead of asking for another gift. Mesmer opinion - my mes is the most enjoyable of my characters. She is the most expensive, always needing new clothes and closet space. (I haven't even managed her Vabbian armor yet, so the thought of the new armors in GW:EN is terrifying.) But, I have more fun playing her than any other profession.

Go to your Dad and say what project I can do around the house for you to earn $10.00 to be used to buy a new character on my game. Or go to a neighbor or someone else you know and ask them if they have projects for you to do for some cash. Make sure you have your parent’s permission to ask someone else though.
I have been doing the create delete thing for awhile. Then if I am happy with the character I buy the 15k armor I like and then they are not on my delete list anymore. Mesmer’s are challenging and good fun well worth the investment in time IMO |

ANET claims to be buffing Mesmers soon. I was going to see if they'll lie or not. The last time, Mesmers had gotten smacked by the nerf bat for the 3rd time in a row and I was discouraged.
I don't get an allowance or cash for extra effort jobs. The only money I make are the coins that fall behind the sofa or the dusty dollar bills that I find in out-of-the-way spots. The neighbors where I live hate me ¬¬ I had no idea a simple process of character creation is this much work... |

You don't need a credit card to purchase new slots, I just use my standard debit card rather than my credit cards.

Azagoth, depending on where the OP lives, debit may or may not work. In the US, debit is guarenteed by one of the major credit card companies, it doesn't always work that way everywhere else (for example, Canada)
